Blown Away

Carrie Underwood's fourth album was released last week and it was a no-brainer that I would pick it up.  I have never been disappointed by her music and this latest disc, Blown Away.  This record was Carrie's third to debut at number one and I can completely see why.
Now, if you are shy about country music, Carrie Underwood hardly classifies as country.  There's no twang, no terrible cheesiness.  It's just great music, plain and simple.  She's a definitely cross-over artist, much like Shania Twain or Taylor Swift.  Along with Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood is by far the American Idol alum who stands out.
Blown Away's first single Good Girl is guitar-heavy and it's impossible to sit still when it's playing!  Other stand out songs on this album are the title track, Blown Away, Two Black Cadillacs, and Thank God for Hometowns.

I also want to mention Carrie's first three albums are all solid as well:) Blown Away is a more mature sound, but you won't be disappointed with Some Hearts, Carnival Ride or Play On.  Her voice is amazing and she's got a good mix of ballads to up-tempos, and everything in between.
