Maroon 5 - Overexposed

Today's music review is of Maroon 5's latest album, Overexposed.  It's their fourth studio album and is riding the wave of popularity of their collaboration with Christina Aguilera on Moves Like Jagger.  Interestingly enough, that song is not on this album.  I'm not sure why they opted to leave it out, but nonetheless, this is a solid Maroon 5 disc.  If you are a fan of the band and of their sound, this album is for you.  It's upbeat, fun and easy to sing along to.  Overexposed does include their massive hit Payphone featuring Wiz Kalifa.  Maroon 5 isn't breaking any new ground with this disc but I'm not sure a group or artist needs to change what isn't broken.  These songs are so catchy that I found upon first listen I was already singing along and turning it up in the car.

  1. Moves Like Jagger is actually on a completely different album, surprisingly. When I went to buy the new fun. album and started looking at other albums, I picked up a Maroon 5 CD thinking it was the new one - nope. Guess they released something last year that no one paid attention to.
BTW, "Some Nights" by fun. is amazing!
