Review - Alicia Keys

Today's review is for Alicia Keys' fifth studio album, Girl on Fire.
Let me just say, Alicia is back.  The album starts with an instrumental track of Alicia playing the piano, just to remind us how insanely talented this artist is!  Unlike last week's album, Rihanna's Unapologetic, Keys doesn't try to re-invent the wheel or herself.  She just matures, naturally.  And it works.  Keys worked with Bruno Mars, Frank Ocean, Maxwell and Emeli Sande for this album and although she explores some new sounds, this is very much a quintessential Alicia Keys album.  It's got groove, piano, big vocals and great lyrics. Nicki Minaj makes an appearance on the album's title track and first single.  It's a lovely girl anthem.  I also am loving Brand New Me and New Day.  This is her first album since having her son Egypt (who can also be heard on this record) and she just seems to have a more mature outlook on life, love and what's important.
