For this week's review, I am talking the
highly-anticipated return of Mr. Justin Timberlake. This is one of the most talked about albums
of 2013. The 20/20 Experience is out tomorrow
(March 19th) with ten songs. You might think
that sounds short, but each song is on average 8 minutes long. It's a more mature sounding Timberlake and
well worth the wait. It's a new sound, less 'NSync and more Justin. The album on the
whole sounds smooth, with a more R&B feel and has a full sound. There seems to be a host of instruments with
each song building and using a large number of musicians. Timbaland co-wrote and produced this album
and it is very apparent. You can hear
his beats, his voice and his touch on every song. Timberlake's range of notes and singing ability is in full swing
too. He obviously wanted to wait until
he felt inspired and ready to return to music and has done it his way. This album sounds unlike anything else out right now, which is fabulous. He
continues to set the tone of pop music and pop culture. The 20/20 Experience has come at the perfect
time. If you love it and can't get
enough, don't worry. It's just been
announced Volume Two is coming out in November.
Oh Justin...you keep us wanting more;)
