Easy Bean Recipe

I realize we are a day away from Food Friday, but let's be rebels, shall we?  Last night I posted a photo of our dinner with the caption, "Meatless Wednesday, that's a thing, right?".  I had numerous comments and questions asking what the beans were and if I could share the recipe.  Ask and you shall receive my lovelies!
This is a very easy bean recipe which you could use as a main, like I did last night, or as a side.  It's so delicious that Jeremy requests it all the time! 

one can of navy beans, rinsed (also known as cannelinni beans)
fresh garlic
fresh sage
olive oil
salt and pepper

Pour a little olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat.  Add a few minced garlic cloves and saute for a few minutes.  Then add about 12 leaves of sage, torn off the stem.  Add in the beans and stir frequently.  (I usually turn the heat down.)  Then add in the chopped tomato and salt and pepper.  I find it makes a great difference to use kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.  
I just cook this long enough for everything to be heated and the flavours to meld.
