Today's Food Friday entry is an extremely easy snack. I love chickpeas in many forms like hummus, in salad and as a substitute for meat in stir-fry. Chickpeas are a fabulous source of natural protein. Today I want to share with you how I made this delicious roasted chickpea snack.
It's incredibly easy! I found this recipe on the Joyous Health Facebook page. All you do is empty a can of chickpeas into a strainer and rinse them well. Then spread the chickpeas on a cookie sheet, drizzling them with olive oil. Sprinkle on whatever spices you like. In this particular batch I used chili flakes, cumin and pepper. Bake the dish at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Voila! An easy and healthy snack packed with protein!
